Auditor in CGDA Vs CAG

Let us quickly pick few pros and cons of Each Org.

CGDA

Cons:

1. Transferable,......after every 4-6 years change of place.
2. Work profile not exactly of an Auditor and some times you do various other kind of work as well.
3. No outdoor tour.
4. Less prospects of extra income.

Pros:

1. CSD canteen facility, which saves at least 30-40% on household items. Can also purchase 2 or 4 wheeler.
2. Quarter facility are better than any other Govt. Org. and exclusively for Defence Account Department people.
3. Quarters are close to office.
4. Since it is transferable and more than 1000 offices across India so even if you get posting away from your home, there will be chances for you to move close to your home town.
5. Since you work with armed forces personal you get good amount of respect plus no public work like pressure like in banks.
6. Faster promotion than in CAG.

CAG:

Cons:

1. Frequent Travelling for Audit.
2. Non Transferable, Very rare chance of Transfer it also causes delay in promotion
3. Quarter facility will not be as good

Pros:

1. Better nature of work.
2. Diversity in working profile, since you will audit all govt. organizations like PSU universities etc
3. Scope of extra income is good.
4. If you score well then you may get posting at your hometown or close to tit and there will not any major transfer.
5. More contacts than CGDA and somehow CGDA is a sub org. of CAG.
